GARBANZO BEAN BURGERS
Plant-based burgers come in so many wonderful varieties...How you can ever dislike them, I don't know!
These Garbanzo bean Burgers are packed with protein and nutrients that will fill you up, without that sluggish "I need a nap" feeling afterwards. I usually serve these over a delicious tuscan kale salad, but I've also served them on a toasty gluten free oat roll with toppings galore!
RECIPE
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
- Place 2 cups of garbanzo beans into a food processor or blender
- Leave the beans a bit chunky. This will add some texture to the burger.
- Grab a large mixing bowl. Add the following:
- 1 & 1/4 cup of gluten free bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup of raw carrots
- 1/4 cup of green onions
- 1tsp of paprika
- 1tsp of cumin
- Mix well! Then add 3tbls of coconut aminos & 2 generous tbls of organic ketchup. Mix again!
- Mold into two (2) patties with your hands
- Tip: Rub a bit of coconut oil onto your hands to prevent the mixture from sticking to you
- Place on to baking sheet, lined with parchment paper
- Bake for 15 minutes on each side
- Enjoy!
